Mostly covering popular Coldplay and Switchfoot songs at first, they soon began writing originals together. That’s where the music they made gained purpose as they formed their message through the songs they wrote. It wasn’t long before they realized that they couldn’t keep their music in the confines of the four walls that they practiced in.
They had more than just notes on paper to show the world, and wanted to make a meaninful impact. So, they started writing on things that have had an impact in their own lives-mostly abstract ideas revolved around the speculations and emotions that meet us in this crazy thing called life.
After playing a few shows, they discovered that their songs were inspiring others in ways they couldn’t have predicted. That’s when they realized that this band was something we could believe in and that their greatest desire was to reach the hearts of listeners.
The day after Christmas 2011, they started recording their debut album: “Breaking Ground”. The name comes from a lyric in their song “Are You Listening?” and it seems to fit the theme behind the album perfectly. It being their debut record, they are “breaking ground” by taking a giant leap forward in our musical career.
But beyond what meets the eye, the general message behind the songs that the album contains is summed up in that one simple lyric. The album is scheduled to be released in 2012, and it won’t disappoint!
